ISTITUTO MARANGONI PARIS’ «LOOK: IT’S THE FUTURE» FASHION SHOW

Instituto Marangoni Paris held its annual fashion show, «Look: It’s the Future,» which went down at Espace Niemeyer on July 7th, 2023. The event showcased the absolute best talents of ten outstanding graduates from the Bachelor Fashion Design Year 3, presenting their creative collections to a select audience of fashion media and industry pros.

The exclusive lineup featured some incredible names: Juana Casares, Zihui Zhang, Aachal Rai, Avalon Anttila Smederevac, Kateryna Chyzh, Pedro del Campo Criollo, Guilllermo Hidalgo de la Dehesa, Tia Najjar, Young Eun Jeon, and Luciano Piunti. Throughout the year, these students poured their hearts and souls into crafting collections centered around the theme «LOOK: IT’S THE FUTURE.» Their designs drew inspiration from a fusion of past consciousness and an optimistic view of the future, showcasing their creativity and talent. The blend of retro-future nostalgia and a contemporary vision perfectly matched the captivating vibes of Espace Niemeyer.

Taking the fashion show to the next level, Istituto Marangoni Paris introduced an exciting digital dimension to the runway. Teaming up with the Fashion Styling Department Professors, the institute created ten mind-blowing 3D videos that brought to life the silhouettes of each collection. This groundbreaking move transported the show into captivating digital realms, seamlessly blending the physical world of fashion with an immersive digital experience. The aim was to provide a comprehensive view of the students’ creations and demonstrate the school’s commitment to integrating digital technology for a one-of-a-kind event.

But that’s not all! Istituto Marangoni Paris also joined forces with the renowned fragrance experts, Symrise Fine Fragrances, to bring a sensory aspect to the fashion show. Each student collaborated closely with talented perfumers to develop ten exclusive and captivating fragrances that perfectly complemented their respective collections. This collaboration marked a significant milestone for the students, as they explored the world of perfume creation, aligning with the school’s plans to launch courses in luxury cosmetics and perfume expertise starting in October.

Paolo Meroni, the Director of Istituto Marangoni Paris, emphasized the importance of fusing fashion, technology, and perfume during the show. The event was streamed in the Metaverse, offering an immersive digital experience to viewers and highlighting the school’s forward-thinking approach in preparing students for the challenges of the fashion and digital industry.

Istituto Marangoni Paris continues to foster a seamless coexistence between the worlds of fashion and digital technology through its well-developed academic programs. By creating such synergies, the institute equips its students to confidently face the ever-evolving demands of the fashion and digital industries.
